L’Histoire du Prophète avec un Enfant Juif

Un jour, le Prophète Mohammad (Salah Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam) rendait visite à un malade qui lui était très cher. C’était un garçon juif qui travaillait pour lui en tant que son serviteur personnel. Le garçon avait l’habitude d’apporter de l’eau au Prophète Mohammad (Salah Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam) pour ses ablutions, de lui procurer ses sandales et de faire des courses pour lui.

Ce jour-là, le Prophète (Salah Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam) a été troublé par l’absence du garçon. Il est allé donc s’enquérir de lui. Il l’a trouvé malade, en ayant son père à ses côtés. Assis au chevet du garçon, le Prophète (Salah Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam) regarda le garçon avec compassion, triste de le voir mourir à un si jeune âge.

Le Prophète (Salah Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam) a ensuite appelé le garçon à réfléchir à ce dont il avait le plus besoin à ce moment, à savoir: la religion avec laquelle il rencontrerait son Seigneur. Il a dit: «Acceptez l’islam. Déclarez qu’il n’y a d’autre Dieu que Dieu et que je suis Son messager. »

Le Caractère du Prophète

Le garçon était réceptif à cette invitation. Etant pour longtemps le serviteur du Prophète (Salah Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam), il a appris à connaître son caractère, ses manières et son tempérament.

Le garçon avait reconnu dans le Prophète (Salah Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam) les caractéristiques d’un messager de Dieu. Il savait qu’il (Salah Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam) n’était ni un tyran ni un prétendant. Néanmoins, le garçon ressentait encore vivement l’autorité de son père, alors il tourna son visage vers son père et le regarda avec imploration, attendant son consentement.

Encore une fois, le Prophète (Salah Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam) a invité le garçon à accepter l’islam, voyant que la vie du garçon s’effaçait rapidement. À ce stade, le père du garçon a dit: «Obéis à Aboul-Qasim (un surnom du Prophète). Répète ce que Muoammad vient de te dire. »

Le garçon juif a ensuite prononcé la profession de foi: “Je témoigne qu’il n’y a pas d’autre dieu que Dieu, et que vous êtes le messager de Dieu.”

Il a dit ces mots avec son dernier souffle. Le Prophète (Salah Allah Alayhi Wa Sallam) l’a quitté, étant satisfait par le fait que Dieu l’avait guidé, en disant: “Louange à Allah qui m’a utilisé pour le sauver du Feu!”

Puis, il s’est tourné vers ses compagnons et a dit:

“Tenez la prière funéraire pour votre frère.”

Taqwa – Living the Main Purpose of Ramadan
