If You Have This, You Have Everything

We fill every single second of our waking moments being distracted. When we aren’t busy we’re with friends, watching a movie, checking our phone.

All the while, we aren’t realising that Allah is the One who is making our lives so good. If you’re happy, healthy and safe that’s because of Allah.

Eventually, as is the nature of life, a test will come. If you weren’t close to Allah, perhaps you’ll be angry that your easy, happy life has been disrupted.

Or maybe, you’ll take the opportunity to come close to Allah, to reflect and realise that He has been so generous throughout your life.

This closeness to Allah is priceless. Don’t wait for a calamity. If you have a good relationship with Allah, you have everything.

Taqwa – Living the Main Purpose of Ramadan

Taqwa is a major purpose for the month of Ramadan. The people of taqwa are those who do the things that they are commanded and avoid the things which Allah has made prohibitive. And evidently, to reach a state of taqwa requires vigilance, it requires patience and sincerity. The verse is pertaining to fasting I found in a single set of verses in chapter 2 starting at verse 183: O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.
