Family Takes Shahadah During Covid-19 Lockdown

Amid COVID-19 lockdown, an American family converted to Islam one year after the mother took the shahada (Islamic declaration of faith).

In a video shared on YouTube, the mother stood with her three children and Sheikh Yasir Qadhi in front of the closed doors of the East Plano Islamic Center Masjid (EPIC).

The youngest girl, 9 years, has led the way for her siblings to accept Islam, convincing her older sister and brother to take the shahada.

EPIC mosque is located in CT Plano, Texas.

This is not the first shahadah during COVID-19 lockdown.

In April 2020, Austrian wrestler, Wilhelm Ott, pronounced the shahada while observing social distancing at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
