As a result of COVID-19, American Muslims were challenged with observing Ramadan at home this year. Yet, their commitment to maintain their communal connection remained steadfast throughout the blessed month.
They launched countless online programs and community forums for the community during the month of Ramadan, which helped develop virtual communities around the world.

In the spirit of maintaining human connection during this time of physical distancing, American Muslim women connect online over shared recipes and food experiences to help support and spread love amongst one another during this month of Ramadan.
When Ramadan approached, community leader and advocate Azizah Kahera launched a Facebook group titled, Ramadan Recipe Party.
This amazing Facebook group is a platform for Muslim women to share their favorite Ramadan recipe and the story behind the recipes.
The concept of the group is for Muslim women to feel comfortable in passing down their legacies and traditions from one generation to another by the sharing of food.
