Dua for Shifa

These days it is good to know a dua for shifa! Recite this for all illnesses and diseases. 

يَا مُنْزِلَ الشِّفَآءِ وَ مُذْهِبَ الدَّآءِ اَنْزِلْ عَلٰى وَجَعِيَ الشِّفَآءِ. اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمَاً

yaa munzelash shefaaa-e wa muzhebad daa anzil a’laa waja-e’yash shefaa. Ishfi aan-tash-shafee la shifa-aa illa shifa-uook shifaal laa you-ghaa de-ru saqamaa

O Bestower of healing and Remover of illness, send down healing for my Diseases.’ give shifa, You are the One who cures, there is no cure except Your shifa, a cure that will not leave any sickness. Amin

Taqwa – Living the Main Purpose of Ramadan

Taqwa is a major purpose for the month of Ramadan. The people of taqwa are those who do the things that they are commanded and avoid the things which Allah has made prohibitive. And evidently, to reach a state of taqwa requires vigilance, it requires patience and sincerity. The verse is pertaining to fasting I found in a single set of verses in chapter 2 starting at verse 183: O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.
