Top 2020 Discovering Islam Content

As 2020 comes to an end, we look back at the content people read most. This yearly exercise gives an important insight on the topics you are interested in, and helps us plan for the future.

After a year of many challenges for people around the world, we all need to pause and reflect. And this selection of popular content helps us do that: reflect and plan ahead.

From a total of around 6 million page-views, (30% of the whole website), the top article was about the family of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. And the second most viewed article was about the evil eye.

We hope you enjoy reading again some of the content in this folder. It covers three areas: spirituality, understanding Islam and answers to your questions.

Taqwa – Living the Main Purpose of Ramadan

Taqwa is a major purpose for the month of Ramadan. The people of taqwa are those who do the things that they are commanded and avoid the things which Allah has made prohibitive. And evidently, to reach a state of taqwa requires vigilance, it requires patience and sincerity. The verse is pertaining to fasting I found in a single set of verses in chapter 2 starting at verse 183: O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.
