How can we be successful? Allah has made this world an abode of tests and trials. He (swt) has told us we will reap what we sow.
If someone puts a seed for an apple tree, he will have a tree of apples similarly if we do good then we receive good. When a person makes the right decisions Allah will shower him with his mercy.
Allah (swt) will reward us for our deeds. As with the example of the tree it does not give fruit after one year but over time eventually, they will come. Our decisions cannot be based on immediate results. Sometimes it takes time for our actions to get the results we desire.
