The blood drive, organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, is the second this year.
Sunday’s event was a success, drawing 63 donors.
“When COVID-19 started, the Red Cross reached out all over the US saying they were in shortage of blood. We decided we should reach out to the Red Cross with whom we’ve been partnering for 10 years and have done several different blood drives,” said Ahmed Khawaja, Director of Public Affairs, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of North Jersey.
“We, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of North Jersey members, are here to support the Red Cross to get people to donate safely during this time of need,” said Khawaja.
Allah tells us that “If anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole humanity.” Quran 5:32
