As Muslims and converts, your cultural heritage is also part of your identity.
While raising Muslim kids in the West, you do not have to leave everything behind that belongs to your culture.
Also, converting to Islam does not mean that you have to embrace the culture of a certain Muslim country you are familiar with.
So what do we teach our children about it?
Take what is good in it and leave what is bad. This is the principle to follow; Sr. Nichola explains why.
