Are You Missing Out on Ramadan? 4 Tips to Maximize the Last Days

The holy month of Ramadan is already drawing to a close! It seems like it was only yesterday that we were planning for it to arrive and now we’re preparing to say goodbye all too soon. But wait! It is never too late to make the most of Ramadan in the remaining days.

By reaffirming your intentions, you can still capitalize on what is left of these blessed Ramadan days and nights. Stretch the muscles of your Eman (faith), chase all the good deeds you can and strive in worship before it is too late!

Fuel Up for Fajr

One of the biggest challenges that both new and lifelong Muslims face midway through Ramadan is a dip in their stamina and endurance while trying to maintain an optimal level of worship and fasting. You started Ramadan off strong, but if you’re not careful, fatigue can set in and will be difficult to shake off.

For this reason, you need to reexamine your Suhur and Iftar meals. If you’re filling up in high calorie carbohydrates, full of sugar and fat, and not “fueling up” on healthy wholesome food that nourishes your body then you’re setting yourself up for disaster.

Now is the time to set your sights on the finish line and race to fulfill as many good deeds and increased acts of worship as possible.

Switch up your Ramadan meal plan by letting go of the fattening foods and embracing better eating habits that will support your body throughout the fasting day and worship.

Let Go of Distractions

Do you still find yourself swiping through your smart device and checking in on social media even though you promised yourself you would limit screen time in Ramadan? Don’t feel bad about it! Instead, reaffirm your promise to limit screen time for the sake of performing good deeds and focusing on your worship.

Other distractions might include wasting time on idle gossip or even indulging in watching TV, Remember, it’s Ramadan! Just imagine how many people were looking forward to this Ramadan but were called back to their Lord instead.

Is there any guarantee that you’ll be alive to see the next Ramadan? Allah alone knows that. Don’t let anything come between you and worshiping the One and Only Allah this Ramadan as well as all year long.

Nourish Your Soul

This most precious month of Ramadan marks the revelation of the Noble Quran to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Reading, reciting and reflecting upon the message contained within the Quran is the best way to nourish your soul this Ramadan.

If you haven’t been reading the Quran much this Ramadan, no worries! Open the Quran today and allow the words of your Lord to penetrate the inner depths of your heart and illuminate it from the inside out.

A perfect guidebook for humankind, the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) contain everything you need to succeed in this life and the next. Reconnect with the Quran by reading it today!

Seek and You Will Find!

Nestled within the last ten nights of Ramadan, Laylat Al Qadr (the Night of Power) is hidden and eagerly sought by millions of Muslims from all over the world. As Allah Almighty says in the Noble Quran:

Indeed We have revealed it (Qur’an) in the night of Power. And what will explain to you what the night of Power is? The night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein descends the Angels and the Spirit (Jibreel) by Allah’s permission, on every errand: (they say) “Peace” (continuously) till the rise of Morning! (Quran 97:1-5)

How many of us have fallen short in our good deeds the last six months or even in the past year? Finding Laylat Al Qadr is a mercy and a salvation from our Lord so that you can fill up your scale of good deeds even when you’ve not done much to earn them.

Don’t let it slip through your fingers! Intensify your worship during the last ten days of Ramadan and reap the reward for your steadfastness.

Revolutionize your Ramadan by transforming the way you approach it and rededicating yourself to fulfilling all the rites that Allah Almighty has upon you during this holy month.
