Does the 15th of Shaban have special status in Islam? This has been a debatable issue for Muslims for many generations.
Shaban is the month between Rajab and Ramadan. People often overlook this month and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) described it as the forgotten month.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said it is the month in which the deeds are presented to Allah. But what is so special about the 15th of Shaban, if anything?
Observing the 15th of Shaban in fasting is Sunnah. This is not because it is the 15th of Shaban but because it is the 15th of the month. The 13th, 14th and 15th of every Islamic month can be observed in fasting because it is Sunnah.
Every single night of the whole year is special because we can pray Tahajjud and make dua in every night, not just the 15th of Shaban. We can connect to Allah every single night.
There is nothing authentic about observing this particular night of the 15th Shaban.
