In our weakness, during our tough times we wonder why this is happening to us. We beseech Allah for answers. We also reflect on the state of our past deeds, we wonder if something we did in the past has brought about present times of hardship and suffering.
How do we know what’s happening in our life?
Are we in hardship due to our sins or is the hardship just a means of purification and because Allah wants us to have higher ranks in Jannah?
