Ali Amir, a disabled Muslim boy, had dreamt of having a chance to play with his hero, Cristiano Ronaldo.
That dream had come true, as the Portuguese superstar fulfilled the disabled boy’s wish during his stay in Dubai, The News reported.
“It was a pleasure to meet you @ali_amir_happy. A truly inspiration,” Ronaldo captioned a video on his Instagram account.
The four-time Champions League winner shared the video on his Instagram account saying that he was truly inspired by Ali Amir.
Over 25 million people watched the video and thousands others left comments a few hours after being shared by the footballer.
Comments included, “respect”, “truly amazing talent”, and “True champion” with many praising the nice gesture from the international superstar.
This is not the first time for Ronaldo to win the hearts of his Muslim fans.
Earlier this year, May 2019, Ronaldo reportedly donated US$1.5 million to the people of Palestine during the backdrop of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
In 2016, he offered the children of Syria a message of hope, telling them that they are the true heroes in the sixth year of a bitter war.
In 2018, he called on the world to help Rohingya children living in refugee camps after fleeing death at the hands of Burmese forces late last year.
