Once you repent there is no punishment. We learn this from when Adan sinned and he committed a sin. After he repented Allah sent him to Earth. Was this a punishment? No because it is clear (opinions of scholars) that this would have happened. Just because you have been forgiven by Allah (SWT) you will still have to face consequences. This is not necessarily a punishment it is just a way for us to learn from the consequences. They are a mean of expiation.
