La espiritualidad musulmana es una dimensión fundamental del Islam sin embargo muy desconocida para muchos. La espiritualidad es una parte esencial de la fe por eso es necesario preguntarse qué es la fe y qué es la espiritualidad. La espiritualidad es la ciencia motor del ser humano y aporta a este un propósito tanto individual como colectivo, esto, a su vez, le aporta significado.  Dado el estado actual del mundo y de los musulmanes la espiritualidad es una ciencia necesaria, puesto que es a través del cambio de las personas como puede cambiar el mundo que nos rodea, y no al contrario. Esto lo dice claramente Allah en el Corán: Cierto que Allah no cambia lo que una gente tiene hasta que ellos no han cambiado lo que hay en sí mismos. Taibah, Yathreb and Dar Al-Hijrah are different names to one city, Al-Madinah. Al-Madinah (Arabic for the city ) was so called as it received Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him when he fled Makkah in 622 CE. It is also known by the name Taibah derived from the Arabic word meaning kindness. Another name it goes by is Dar Al-Hijra (Arabic for Land of Migration ) because it is where the Prophet had migrated to. The tribes of Banu Matraweel and Banu Hauf  were the first settlers to inhabit and cultivate the oasis of Madinah. Both tribes descended from the lineage of Shem, the son of Prophet Noah.
