While Maggie Doyone was walking down a road in Nepal, she saw a girl carrying a load on her back. The job of this orphaned girl was to carry loads into villages to earn money for feeding her family. Feeling devastated, Doyone began to read about orphans to discover that there are eight million orphans living this way around the world.
Days later, she met an 8-year-old girl, who made Doyone to think about doing something to provide help to those orphaned children. With financial help from her family, Doyone immediately bought a piece of land and built a home and school for those orphans.
“The world will change when our children and women are educated,” Doyone says. “I want to create a world that I want to see every day.”
